This Woodland Park Zoo Craftsman was in need of a new kitchen with better design and flow with an abundant mudroom/enclosed back porch, stairway, pantry area, and door to the back yard/garden.

Beginning with the new layout of the adjacent spaces was necessary to determine the precise layout of the new kitchen.  The new mudroom design was critical to determine the space that could then be used for the family room, adjacent to the pantry area.

Beginning with quartzite countertops and deep dark grays in their existing palette, a fun deco tile was selected to create focal points at the kitchen sink wall and the backsplash for the range.  Coordinating solid tile was then selected for the remaining backsplash.

​

White cabinets and soft paint colors complete the kitchen.  Existing stained hardwood floors provided depth and warmth to their palette.
